Mary Ellen is the founder and director of Senior Care Options.

She has over 15 years experience in senior care.

She has a Diploma in Gerontology/Activation from George Brown College and a Certificate in Gerontology from Ryerson University. She is a past volunteer chair of the Community Presentation Program of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and is currently a volunteer in the Palliative Care Department at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

She is a noted speaker and author on senior care issues.
